Zitat:Original von Frank the Judge
* Under full throttle, a dragster engine will consume 11.2 gallons of
nitro methane per second; a fully loaded Boeing 747 consumes jet fuel at the same rate but with 25% less energy being produced.
Na, den Motor möchte ich sehen der 11 Gallonen Nitro pro Sekunde verdaut. Das macht für 5 Sekunden 200 Liter. Wo die dann nur immer den Tank verstecken?
Das hier dürfte schon eher passen:
* Under full throttle, a dragster engine consumes 1 1/2 gallons of nitro per second, the same rate of fuel consumption as a fully loaded 747 but with 4 times the energy volume.
… that NHRA Top Fuel dragsters and Funny Cars use between 10 and 12 gallons of fuel for a complete pass, including the burnout, backup to the starting line, and quarter-mile run?
Und ja, das ist auch kopiert.
