The 65 and 66 are very very good driving cars. Parts are available at good prices.
My 66 327/350 has over 300,000 miles (450,000 k ) and is still running . You can buy in America a 64 in perfect shape, for 35,000 to $40,000 US .

If your car really have 300.000 miles rode on the streets, is it a very good achievement/performance.
Thanks for the tipp, with the 64-66 model.
Lot of greetings from Austria (not Australia! :) )

Hello,,
I have rebuilt the engine 5 times, but it is the original engine, rods, crank, heads etc. If you can, find a car with disk brakes... you can stop when driving in rain. I drive my car year round, snow, ice, rain, sun.
I had engine rebuilt 2 years ago and now have 38,000 miles . It only burns a qt. of oil every 1,500 miles, better than when it was new.
I have owned the car for 42 years and hope to visit Germany this summer / fall on my European trip.
Austria is on my list of countries to visit.
Hope to meet you on my travels
