Hello ,

Here is a picture of the headlight motor, you can see the wheel to spin.... It sounds like your main gear in motor is stripped. It is the big gear in picture , you can buy replacement gears....



If you click on this link , you will see the motor apart....it is not hard to replace parts...but is difficult to remove motors as you should remove hood to get at parts.
