As part of my restoration work on complete cars, I rebuild most items myself. Occasionally I take on outside work like a wiper motor or generator, etc.
The cad plating and aluminum refinishing adds much cost to a simple rebuild of a wiper motor, so most times I do not do that. I re-coat steel with a cad look-alike paint and do a cleaning and sometimes light bead-blast of aluminum parts. Internally, I replace brushes, rework the armature and correct wiring and switch flaws.
I don't have set prices for items like these as I normally include that as part of my total work and charge a hourly rate for my time. Some items require more effort than others so it's hard to give a global estimate.
