calculation is that easy:
Therefore you are with the army and have brought the car with you to Germany, you don´t have to pay taxes.
BUT: If you are selling the car to a german or european individual or company, you will be taxed and dutied.
Formula is like:
((Price of the car + transportation cost) x 10%)x 19%
Then the car will be legally imported to the european union.
(It´s not street legal by then, you need to make conversions to the lighting!)
So, if you sell the car to someone at 52 grand, this will come out (as of oanda today) to 38.210 €
Plus 10% import duty will be 3.821 €
Plus 19% VAT will be 7.986 €
payment total for your customer is 50.016 € without conversion, which will roughly be around 1.000 € (estimate!)
The problem of your calculation is the duty/ tax thing - this amount will have to be paid, but NOT in YOUR pocket, but moreover the dough will go to Berlin to fund funny governmental brainfarts........
