I just called all of the numbers from the links and all of them said they werent auto storage

Just called-Mrs Kavitz wasnt there but the lady who answered understood some english and took my number. THanks a lot. As a last resort I was about to drive all the way to Heidelberg. Wheww Really appreciate it!

Well the lady just called back and said that they dont have any garages available. Is garage the term I should be looking for with storage spot or would anything else fit a car?

I checked quoka.de, a portal for classified ads, and found these (search criteria: Kaiserslautern + 25 km = 15 miles):

Garage 1 = garage to rent in kaiserslautern municipal center (near Hornbach), can also be used commercially; rental fee 60 Euros inclusive running costs

Garage 2 = garage in Landstuhl-Atzel (14 km = 9 miles) Berliner Straße 82 from 01.11.10; 40 Euros fixed price (okay, the ad is 6 weeks ago, could be already rented, could be not)

Garage 3 = garage to rent in Neustadt/Weinstraße im Böbig (30 km = 19 miles) Am Knappengarten (streetname) at once; 50 Euros asking price

Yes, look for "garage" or "tiefgarage".

There are no such storage places like you know from the states, at least not in the smaller cities.

Is there no one in your unit or on the base who can assist you finding a place? Someone who speaks german. Any local nationals on post?

To be honest it isn´t easy to find a place, especially in the winter time, but there are still some places to rent (as advertised in the links above for example).

Hurry up buddy, dont let your vette sit outside in the snow...

Unfortunately I dont live in your area, otherwise I would have helped you find a place.

Why don't you call Mrs. Kafitz as I suggested? She is informed about your desire.
