If i'm understanding this correctly, your idle jumps down 400rpm when you put it in drive. This is not good. My car did this before the rebuild of the top end of the motor. It would be at 1300 in "Park" then drop to 900 in drive. It would also diesel after being shut off. Now the RPM's only drop about 120 rpm or so. The problem was a couple of things. 1. Vaccum leaks. I would check/replace all hoses first 2. Float levels and other adjustments onthe holley.I have the same 750DP on a 330hp SBC and before it was tuned correctly it misbehaved. Very temperamental. Franky is correct, look for the obvious first! :)
I don't know why a 1800stall converter would help you in this application. It is not a solutoin for your problem. Those have more to do with the cam of choice than anything else... or maybe i'm just not understanding correctly!
Bilingual:
I'm trying
Oh yeah... Das problem ist nicht uhm.. because of the Torque Converter.. Drehmomentwandler... Drehmoment=Torque? wandler=Converter?
